More than 60 tractors covered in Christmas lights will parade around Guernsey tomorrow evening (14 December).

The festively decorated vehicles will set off from Le Beaucamps school at 6.15pm and loop clockwise around the island.

Members of the charity to benefit, Guernsey Mind, will join the parade, which is expected to finish at Vistas around 8.30pm.

The event hopes to raise £1,500 for the mental health charity, with donations being taken on giving.gg

Organiser Ben Le Page says the flashing lights and cheering crowds are always a magical sight:

"I think we’re on par with the Liberation Cavalcade.

When we head down to Vistas and we go along to L'Ancresse, you can’t even see the sea wall there are so many people.

It really is a spectacular event. I’m just speechless at how many people come out of their homes to have a look at us each year."

85 tractors took part last year. 60 have signed up so far for the 2024 edition.

Ben says many participants just turn up on the night, and his Christmas wish is to get a hundred tractors involved.

There will be live location updates on the group's Facebook Page when the parade begins.
