Further changes to public bus services effective from Monday 6th April
An ‘enhanced Sunday’ bus service will be operated on week days from Monday 6th April until further notice.
A normal ‘Sunday’ service will continue to operate on Saturdays and Sundays.
The decision reflects the significant reduction in bus passenger journeys across the network over the last few weeks as the public reacts to the latest Public Health guidance discouraging all but essential journeys during the current outbreak of COVID-19.
It is appreciated that this change in service provision might cause inconvenience for some passengers but every effort has been made to ensure that an adequate number of services are provided at commuter times. If you are an essential worker and you are impacted by these changes please call CT Plus on 700456 for further advice as to how you may be able to complete your journey as planned.
Passengers are reminded that cash fares are not currently being accepted on scheduled bus services but that contactless payment facilities are available on all buses. For those that do not have access to contactless, Pay as You Go (PAYG) ‘orange’ puffin passes are available at a cost of £5. These are available to purchase on board buses and from the kiosk.
Information regarding these changes have been displayed inside all service buses and can be viewed at http://buses.gg/routes_and_times/timetable_2020.
The provision of bus services will continue to be reviewed over the coming days and weeks. Once again, Traffic and Highway Services wishes to thank CT Plus, its drivers and the general public for their support and understanding at this time.
