Signed paintings by Edward Seago, from the late John Burley's home, are on sale in Guernsey.
Seago is one of Britain’s best known and most-widely collected artists.
Mr Burley owned three of his oil paintings, depicting a wintry view of London’s Trafalgar Square and two equestrian countryside scenes.
Following Mr Burley's passing in November 2023, these pieces are going under the hammer.
They are expected to fetch up to £25,000 each at Martel Maides Winter Fine Art, Antiques and Jewellery Auction, that will run 20-21 November.
A spokesperson for Martel Maides Auctions says it is timely that these paintings come to auction now, around the first anniversary of Mr Burley death: “It’s an honour to offer artworks admired and enjoyed by Mr Burley.
"His much-loved home, Cedar Hill, was the setting for many an impressive party for his large circle of friends. It was also a museum to souvenirs from his colourful and considerable life.
"These sought after artworks reflect Mr Burley’s life, passions and informed taste.
"He owned racehorses for 40 years with trainers such as Sir Henry Cecil.
"He was also a much-respected steward who presided over race meetings in Guernsey and Jersey."
