STORM DARRAGH: Guernsey closures, cancellations, and postponed events

Severe gale force 9 winds are expected in the Channel Islands this weekend - forcing several cancellations.

CANCELLED: All Condor voyages due to sail on Saturday have been cancelled, with all but one cancelled on Sunday.

CLOSED: The Household Waste and Recycling Centre and the Mont Cuet Green Waste site will be closed on Saturday 7 December as a precaution following the severe weather warning issued by the Met Office.

POSTPONED: The GROW Christmas Fayre has been postponed until next Sunday 15th December, 10.30am - 2.30pm. Their raffle licence has been extended so luckily this means extra time to buy tickets.

CANCELLED: All Saturday football has been cancelled, with Sunday fixtures to be reviewed over the weekend.

CANCELLED: Guernsey Post has announced no deliveries will occur this Saturday due to weather warnings and the cancellations of incoming mail. Normal service will resume Monday. 

CANCELLED: The National Trust of Guernsey Christmas market on Monday evening has been cancelled. However, there will be a small indoor market with some of the stallholders on Thursday and Friday. 

CANCELLED: Herm Travel Trident has cancelled all sailings on Saturday.
