17,600 Islanders Given Both Covid Vaccine Doses

82% of over 80s in Jersey have received both doses of a coronavirus vaccine.

Two-thirds of 75 to 79-year-olds and half of 70 to 74-year-olds have also got both.

More than 6,000 second doses were given between 24 March and 1 April.

81% of 50 to 54-year-olds have now got their first jab.

More than 62,000 doses have been administered, as of the end of March, with more than 17,600 people now fully vaccinated.

Details are due later this week on when islanders in their 40s can book their vaccine appointments.

One person has been diagnosed with coronavirus in Jersey in the last five days.

Today is the first update on cases since last Thursday because of the bank holiday weekend.
