A cyclist has been flown to Southampton Hospital after being involved in an incident on St Saviour's Hill.
The 31-year-old man is in a serious, but stable, condition and is receiving further treatment in the UK.
Officers believe the man was cycling down the hill around 12:45 am, and officials say it was a 'single vehicle incident'.
The rider was wearing dark shorts, an orange jumper and white trainers.
The police would like to speak to anyone who saw him or who has dashcam or doorbell footage from 18 May.
