Aid Project Volunteers Needed

Islanders are needed to join aid missions in Africa and Lebanon.

Jersey Overseas Aid is looking for volunteers for its 2019 projects.

They include building washrooms for a primary school in Tanzania, a sand dam in Kenya and caring for people with disabilities at summer camps in Lebanon.

There is a chance to find out more about what is involved in the trips at St Paul’s Centre in St Helier from 6pm this evening.

Previous volunteers and partner agencies will be giving a brief presentation and JOA staff will be there to answer questions.

“For many this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, bringing with it a sense of achievement, life-long friendships and extraordinary memories. The projects require no prior experience and bring a lasting change to some of the poorest people in the world.” – Jersey Overseas Aid
