A book of condolence has opened outside St Saviour's Parish Hall for people to share messages and pay their respects to Sadie Le Sueur-Rennard.
The Constable of St Saviour died suddenly on Friday 8 April.
She served her parish since 2011 and was well known for her renditions of 'Beautiful Jersey' on many a Liberation Day.
St Saviour Deputy Kevin Pamplin worked alongside Sadie in the parish since 2018.
But his history with Sadie goes back much further.
He describes her as 'a parish and island treasure'.
"I've been very lucky, I've known her since I was 10 years old.
The first theatrical show I did, I had to sing a solo on the Opera House stage and she would sit in the wings, just out of sight of the audience, and sing alongside me to keep me in tune.
I was lucky (that) the first musical I did when I was 12 years old (was) to play opposite her and when you meet someone like that, you know they're going to play a big part in your life.
“For we need a little Christmas” ❤️

She loved her family, she loved her cows, she loved her parish, she loved the island and she was always there for everybody, no matter what.
I guess in turn now we have to do the same for her family, for all of us in the community and the parish who will be hurting and missing her and that's our responsibility to do her proud, as we are as proud of her."
The book of condolence opened today (12 April).
Jersey flags on government and parish buildings are flying at half-mast until sunset on the day of the funeral.
