This summer's Branchage inspections are underway.
St Brelade was the first to receive a visit yesterday, with officials in St Saviour today.
Any landowners who haven't cut hedges and banks to specified standards and cleared the trimmings away face a fine of up to £100.
The requirement is to make sure routes are safe for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
Details of the Visite du Branchage dates can be found here.
Revised guidelines have been published this year to help protect wildlife.
