Crowds expected for Euros Final in Howard Davis Park

Thousands of people are expected to watch the Euros final in Jersey's Howard Davis Park.

Organisers say no tickets are needed for the screening of the big match between England and Spain.

Gareth Southgate's men reached their second consecutive European Championships final after beating the Netherlands 2-1 in the semis.

Around 1,000 people watched that match in the park. The crowd for the final is predicted to be at least three or four times larger.

England missed out on lifting the trophy in 2021, losing to Italy on penalties.

The fanzone will open 45 minutes before the 8pm kick off.

Islanders can take along a picnic, but alcohol is banned.

Before the game, Howard Davis Park is hosting another celebration  - for Bastille Day.

France's national day is being marked with a  live screening of the famous Military Parade, followed by the Olympic Torch relay through the streets of Paris.

The island's new French Honorary Consul Pierre Chays will give his very first address to the French community and lead the singing of La Marseillaise
