Drug Dealer Jailed For More Than Four Years

Hayden Dunning, 25, has been jailed for four and half years for 13 drug offences.

Dunning was arrested in November 2021 after his car was stopped by police for driving offences.

Officers found class A and B drugs - namely cocaine, cannabis and MDMA - worth upto £6,000.

They also discovered £1,600 of cash in his car.

Following his arrest, Dunning's phone was also searched by police, which also brought up messages which discussed the supply of the class A drugs.

In June, Dunning pleaded to guilty to;

· 3 counts of Possession of class A (MDMA and Cocaine) and Class B drugs (Cannabis),

· 1 count of Possession with intent to supply MDMA

· 1 count of Supply of Class A drugs namely MDMA.

· 8 counts of Offering to supply Class A and B drugs, namely MDMA, Cocaine and Amphetamine.

Detective Constable Lynn Lang from Jersey Police Drug Squad says the sentencing shows officers commitment to keeping drugs and drug dealers off the island's streets.

"This is not a career path that any young person should look to pursue, Jersey has other legitimate careers and opportunities available. Going down this path will not end well for anyone."
