Emergency services were called to Jersey's north coast this morning after a car came off the road.
Jersey Police has told Channel 103 that 999 calls originally sparked fears a vehicle could have gone over the cliff edge on Route du Nord in St John.
However, Jersey Fire and Rescue say the vehicle was 'in a precarious position' by the side of the road.
The car had been abandoned with no one inside it, or nearby.
Police officers remain on the scene and are investigating how the car left the road.
