St Brelade's HSBC branch will undergo a significant refurbishment this year.
The bank at Red Houses will double in size and spread across two floors.
There a plans for a full redecoration, as well as making the out of town branch more accessible by installing wide automatic doors, ramps and a lift.
The first floor of the building will become a new dedicated 'Premier Banking Centre' with private interview rooms.
It does mean that the bank will close its doors for seven months while the work is carried out. This will happen from 14 March.
To minimise disruption to customers, a pop-up service at Communicare will be set up from 17 March, which will be open from 10am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.
Opening hours at the King Street branch will also be extended.

“In order to ensure our customers continue to receive the best banking experience, we’re making a significant investment in the refurbishment of our St Brelade branch, with an impressive design vision, expanding over two floors and introducing new modern facilities to complement our friendly counter service.
“Of course, this programme will take some time and we thank our customers for their patience whilst we undertake the necessary work.
"We’re pleased that we are able to offer a number of measures to ensure customers receive a seamless service, through our community pop-up service in Communicare and by extending the opening hours at our flagship King Street branch.”
Lloyds Bank closed its Les Quennevais branch in December 2024, blaming a fall in transactions.
HSBC closed its Five Oaks branch in St Saviour in August 2024, having shut its Halkett Street bank in January 2024.
