The average amount islanders earn has barely changed over the last 20 years.
A new report has revealed that real-term earnings in Jersey have gone up by just 0.5% since 2001.
Statistics Jersey says full-time employees in the island earn a mean average of £820 per week, an increase of 3.3% compared to last year.
That works out as a salary of £42,640 a year, but two thirds of islanders earn less than that as the average is skewed by Jersey's highest earners.

Hospitality staff earned the least, averaging £500 a week, while the financial services industry paid its workers the most - averaging £1,120 a week.
