Jersey's bus routes featured among most scenic in Britain

Jersey has been put on the map for its picturesque travel routes in a new partnership hoping to boost visitor numbers.

Perhaps we often fail to admire the beauty of Jersey on our daily commutes, but our best-looking bus routes are being used to draw more holidaymakers.

LibertyBus has partnered with UK-based travel company Great Scenic Journeys, which promotes Britain's most stunning travel experiences.

Some of the island's most attractive bus routes are now being showcased on its platforms as 'must-see' journeys.

Nestled in the English Channel, Jersey is a captivating island that offers a blend of British and French influences, stunning coastal landscapes, and a rich historical heritage.

Jersey provides a unique and enchanting experience for travellers seeking both relaxation and adventure.

Kevin Hart, Director of LibertyBus, hopes it encourages visitors and locals alike to explore the island by bus.

"Visitors to the island use the bus an awful lot and catching buses is a real part of their holiday.

"If you look at all the great things that are on the number one route to Gorey Pier...you've got La Rocque, you've got Le Hocq, you've got the history that's behind it..."

Channel 103 asked bus firm boss for his favourite local route:

"It's got to be the 22 out to L'Etacq. It's the longest journey, it's got the most on offer... seeing bays; you've got the Wetlands' Centre; and then you get out to the Fisheries at the end."

A ride on Route 22

"It's the best journey, especially if you're on the top deck of a double-decker when you hit Corbiere, and you just go down. It's stunning!

"You bare around the bend and then you can see right across the bay. It's the best part."

Alex Warner, Managing Director at Great Scenic Journeys, says working with LibertyBus has been a pleasure.

"Their dedication to quality service and sustainable travel aligns perfectly with our mission to promote the island’s stunning scenery and rich heritage.

"We believe this partnership will encourage more people to experience all that Jersey has to offer in an environmentally friendly way."
