The showers have closed at Les Quennevais Sports Centre after Legionella bacteria was found in water samples.
The pool reopened last week after undergoing months of refurbishment to its changing room facilities.
However a routine test revealed 'low counts' of Legionella species.
Jersey's government has confirmed this is not what's known as 'Legionella pneumophila' - the bacteria that causes more than 90% of Legionnaires' disease cases.
A spokesperson also said there is 'no risk' to other areas of the pool's water facilities, such as sinks and water fountains.
Work has to be undertaken to disinfect the showers before they are safe for the public to use.
This is expected to take three weeks. During this time, new samples in the facilities will be taken and analysed.
“Following minor refurbishment of the ladies wet changing room at Les Quennevais Sports Centre, routine water samples were taken from the shower outlets on completion of the works to ensure the water quality was satisfactory in preparation for reopening to the public.

Active Jersey announced the closure on their Facebook page.
It advised customers to 'plan to shower elsewhere during the closures'.
At this time, the changing room facilities are still open and available to use.
