Les Landes & Victoria College Claim De Putron Victories

Les Landes and Victoria College schools have won the Jersey heats of this years de Putron Challenge.

They will compete against the winning Guernsey teams, Forest and Blanchelande, at the inter-islands final next Thursday (24 March)

The challenge brings together year six and year eight pupils, testing their general knowledge, maths and creative thinking skills.

Les Landes School won the year six competition with 17 points. Trinity School came in second place, only 1 point behind.

The other schools that made it to the final were St Christopher’s, Jersey College Prep, La Moye and St Saviour.

 The winning year 8 team Victoria College (L-R) Alexander Wood, Robbie Tieppo, Jack Byrne and Hugo Jones.

Victoria College triumphed in the year 8 contest, beating St Michael's who won the tie break against De La Salle.

Every pupil involved took home a book vouchers, and the two top teams won money for their schools.
