Macmillan Jersey will hold The Macarenathon - no, that's not a typo - trying to break the Guinness World Record for the most amount of people dancing the Macarena at any one time.
Macmillan Jersey wants islanders to join them in the Royal Square on Saturday 28 June for their 'Mararenathon.'
In the square, there will be 'non-stop carnival vibes, classic hits, and a sea of smiling faces', and hopefully a world record.
They want people to join and dance together to raise vital funds for those affected by cancer in Jersey.
Andrew Gardham, Community and Engagement Lead for Macmillan Jersey, says they rely on creative fundraising events, and this is an example.
"The aim of this one-of-a-kind event is to bring the whole community together for a celebration of music, fun, and group spirit whilst aiming to break the Guinness World Record at the same time.
"This event is open to all ages, and we urge islanders to come along for a fun day out whilst making a difference and raising funds to support people affected by cancer locally in Jersey whilst hopefully making history!"
Tickets are available on Macmillan Jersey’s social media channels.
