An island software consultancy firm has launched a new AI service to help businesses become more intelligent and efficient.
AI is revolutionising the world, with more technology being developed each month.
Programmes, such as ChatGPT and Photoshop, have implemented the software, allowing users to cut time costs by using technology to write and create resources which would take the average person more than a few minutes.
XRM wants to help businesses in Jersey introduce AI to everyday work to get ahead of the curve.
CEO Simon Jackson says AI is the best thing since the internet.
"In my opinion, it's going to revolutionise everything we do, in every aspect.
Should we be scared of it? In theory, yes. It could go off and try and do bad things - but there's governance in place to prevent these sorts of things from happening, and security and privacy are one of the key tenants people are building out of these models.
There's also transparency. There's a huge open source community so you can see the code and the things written into the AI models."
The tech company believes AI can help make the workplace more efficient in several ways.
For example, some technologies include computer vision, allowing people to scan passports or documents for AI to transcribe the data without manually inputting the information.
Other uses include Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools such as BERT, GPT-3 and NLTK which are used to understand, generate and translate languages.
Businesses in Jersey can also implement AI into customer service, with AI sorting complaints from compliments and writing responses, slashing time and work.
