Search Continues For Missing Thomas Frost

The search for missing Thomas Frost has continued over the weekend, with police making late night road checks in St Ouen.

Officers were out stopping and talking to motorists between 10pm and 2pm on Saturday (18 February).

They were in the area near to where Thomas was last seen exactly a week earlier, in the hope of gathering more information about his disappearance.

The 51 year old has not been seen since leaving his parents' home on a lane above L'Etacq on the night of Saturday 11 February.

Police were focused on drivers and walkers on the roads around Le Mont Huelin and Mont Pinel, in the hope somebody would know something that they hadn't realised was important, but that might provide clues to his whereabouts.

Missing person posters have been put up across western parishes.

The hunt for Thomas, which began last Sunday (12 February) has involved open land searches, shallow water searches, house-to-house calls and searches of the south-west and north-west coastlines.

Jersey Fire & Rescue, Honorary Police, Jersey Coastguard and the Channel Islands Air Search plane are among the agencies that have been enlisted to help.

A Police Search Advisor (POLSA) from Guernsey was brought in to offer additional advice and guidance.

Drones and a police sniffer dog have been used.

Islanders have been asked to check private CCTV, camera doorbells and dashcam footage and to check outbuilding, sheds, gardens and land for signs he might have passed by.

Chief Inspector Chris Beechey urged people to report anything:

"If anything has changed in any shape or form, please don't think it may not be important.  Let us be the judge of that."

Anything at all that appears different, or that shouldn't be there or is in a different place - please give us a call and let us make that assessment."

Thomas is described as 5ft 10, of medium build with greying hair and is believed to be wearing a crimson red T-shirt underneath a navy shirt with white buttons and navy jeans.

He may be wearing a light grey hoodie over his shirt and it is thought he didn’t have shoes on when he disappeared.

Anyone with information should call police on 01534 612612, option 2, option 4.
