Survey To Understand Impact Of Covid Restrictions

Retail and close contact businesses in Jersey are being asked to fill in a survey to show how much Covid restrictions in recent weeks have affected them.

They haven't been included in the co-funded payroll scheme.

The government said it was because it wanted more information to understand the impact of public health measures - such as the work from home recommendation.

That is still in place, as is the requirement to wear a mask inside public spaces.

But the Chamber of Commerce says many of them have been affected 'dramatically' by those restrictions.

The scheme was reintroduced just before Christmas following the Omicron outbreak.

Bars, restaurants, coffee and sandwich shops, taxis, cinemas and the arts, and sole traders were all added to it earlier this month.

The survey can be filled out here.

Eligible businesses can now claim for December 2021.

The government says the scheme will be reviewed next week.
