Three islanders rescued in St Ouen car crash

Three islanders have been rescued by firefighters after a car crash in St Ouen.

Just before 7.00pm last night, 21 January, emergency services were called to Le Mont Matthieu where they found a car partially mounted onto a bank.

The three people inside the vehicle, which was described to be in a 'precarious position', chose to remain inside until firefighters arrived.

Though none of them were harmed, the trio were concerned that if they left the car that it would roll onto the road.

Firefighters anchoring the car to the ground

Firefighters at the scene decided to anchor the car to the ground, allowing the driver and two passengers to exit the vehicle safely.
