Tide Warning For Coastal Flooding

Tide warnings have been issued for Jersey, including for this evening's rush hour (23 November).

The orange level alert urges caution, with waves and debris expected to come over the sea wall along the south and east coasts.

There could be some flooding at high tide, and coastal roads might have to close.

High tide is just before 6pm this evening (10.8 metres) and at 6.15am tomorrow (11 metres).

Winds are forecast to reach strong force 7 on Wednesday, with gusts to 50 mph.

The conditions have caused disruption to ferry services.  Today's conventional ferry service is cancelled and Thursday's sailing is under review.

Condor Ferries says Friday's high speed services might also be affected.
