A kestrel that was found grounded in a Grouville car park has been released back into the wild after making a full recovery at the JSPCA.
The bird of prey was underweight and had a swollen right eye when he was collected on 11 January by the out of house animal ambulance driver.
The JSPCA tube fed him and given pain relief injections to aid his recovery - and after daily checks over a week or so, the kestrel was back to full fitness.

An ID ring was then placed on one of the bird's legs and released the next day!
