Jersey Zoo has announced the deaths of two Asian small-clawed otters.
Bulan and Bintang were 16 and 17 years old.
The pair had lived at the wildlife park in Trinity for most of their lives.
Bintang arrived first, in 2006, from Newquay Zoo. Bulan joined her a year later from Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park.
The inseparable pair has successfully reared many offspring who now live in various zoos across Europe. In more recent years they have been enjoy their 'retirement'.
The species would usually have a lifespan of 11-16 years in the wild.
Zoo staff say the they much-loved residents who could often be seen curled up together or making a splash in their enclosure.
"They will be hugely missed by staff, volunteers and visitors."
